Free Cooling

Installing free cooling is an extremely cost effective way to chill the water in your cooling system.

Rather than using chillers, a free cooling system utilises low ambient conditions to provide partial or 100% direct air cooling. Offloading chillers in this way offers significant savings in energy and running costs, can help you to meet important carbon reduction targets, and can greatly increase the longevity of your plant. As such, the initial investment of a free cooling system will often have paid for itself in as little as 12 months.

Upgrading an existing system with a free cooling air blast cooler is a simple process and we can often complete the installation with a minimal shut down. In addition to significant savings in low ambient conditions, our air blast cooler has the advantage of automatically switching to an adiabatic dry cooler in warm outside temperatures.

Free Cooling Chillers

If you are replacing your chiller, we have a wide range of free cooling chillers with cooling capacities from 37 to 960kW, which automatically take advantage of low ambient conditions to offer significant energy savings. Additionally, our Total Free Cooling Chiller (TFC) is the first packaged chiller in the world to provide an optional self-draining hydraulic circuit that can be used without glycol. They are modular in design which can be easily expanded to increase cooling capacity, and feature electronic expansion valves to further reduce energy input.

As there are so many free cooling options that we can implement to help you save massive amounts of energy, please contact us to arrange an on-site free energy survey. Alternatively, we would be glad to assist you over the telephone or email by discussing your existing plant specifications and requirements.
